Privacy Policy
Last updated October 18, 2026
This policy explains what MinecraftRank collects, why, and how long we keep it. The site is run by MinecraftRank, UK, who is responsible for your data. Questions or requests: our contact form.
When you vote
- What: the Minecraft username you type, your IP address, and the time.
- Why: to deliver the vote, to allow one vote per day, and to catch vote fraud.
- Sent to the server: your username and IP address go to the server you vote for, through NuVotifier, so it can give you your reward. That server's own privacy rules then apply.
- Username check: we check that the name exists with Mojang (Java) or GeyserMC (Bedrock). Only the username is sent.
- How long: we remove your IP address from the vote after 30 days. Your username and vote count stay in the server's vote totals and top-voter lists.
- Captcha: the vote page uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots. Cloudflare processes data from your browser to do this, under its own privacy policy.
- Cookie: we save the username you voted with in a cookie (
mr_name, 1 year), so you don't have to type it again.
When you browse
- To show server owners and sponsors how many people viewed their page or copied their IP, we count each visitor once per day using a code made from your IP address and the date. We can't turn that code back into your IP, and it changes every day. We keep these counts for up to 400 days.
- Our web server keeps short technical logs (IP address, page, time) for security and fixing errors.
When you have an account (server owners)
- What: your email address, your password (stored only as a secure hash, never readable), the servers you list, and your bids.
- Why: to run your account, show your listings, run auctions, and email you codes, password resets and auction results.
- Login cookie: a session cookie keeps you logged in for up to 30 days. It also holds a security token against forged forms.
- Payments: Stripe handles payments. We get the result (paid or not) and the amount, never your card details. Stripe processes your data under its own privacy policy.
- Emails: we send email through Resend, which handles the sending.
- How long: until you delete your account. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't use advertising trackers or build profiles of you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK), you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email our contact form and we'll answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Many Minecraft players are young. Voting needs no account and we only collect what's described above. Accounts are for people aged 16 and over. If you think a child under 16 made an account, tell us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is important, we'll show a notice on the site.
